First match Africa Peace Cup

Following one of his trips to west Africa in August 2000, Willem Tijssen formed a TaskForce to study the attainability of the World Peace Cup Football project. In no time he got the support from John Bestman, Ben Bienvenue, Coach Lee, Boudewijn Hoogeweegen, Louis Santiago, Marcel Stappers and Scott Bronfman. This team established the Africa Peace Cup Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit organization started by people who have a great love for Africa. Talented and experienced professionals in the field of marketing, advertising and events.

John Bestman

John Bestman : John is retired minister of finance (2 times) and former governor of the Central Bank of Liberia. In 2005 he was the campaign manager for Mrs. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf who became the first female president of Africa in November 2005.

Scott Bronfman

Scott Bronfman : Scott is an American creative director and creative teacher, working with advertising agencies The Netherlands.

Boudewijn Hoogeweegen Boudewijn Hoogeweegen : Boudewijn is managing director of Hoogeweegen TaskForce B.V., a Dutch Management Consultancy - Specialization Communication. He was Chairman & CEO of Bates, Managing Director of McCann-Erickson and General Manager of J.Walter Thompson in The Netherlands.

Louis Santiago Louis Santiago : Louis is president of Premier Rail in Chicago Ill, a company with specific railroad projects in west Africa and member of the SL-FORUM.

Marcel Stappers Marcel Stappers : Marcel is a Dutchman, born and raised in Liberia, now living and working in Accra/Ghana. He is a freelance consultant for European companies in west Africa.

Willem Tijssen Willem Tijssen : managing director of EEC Events Africa, an Event-Marketing company based in Guinee West Africa. See www.eec.cc. Willem is the founder of the Africa Peace Cup project.
