Music ... For The Children

THE PROGRAM

In collaboration with well respected charitable organizations, the African/African -American Music Entertainment and Cait Entertainment would be organizing a festival. This project consists of a music festival to be held in Accra, Ghana, during a 4 day event in April 2004. Artists and guest artists from the entire African continent and from around the world will perform during these four (4) days of tribute to the children victims of AIDS and HIV on the continent and throughout the world. These artists will record an album-containing maximum of ten tracks. Songs- in English, French, Spanish, Swahili, and a variety of other African dialects - will reach millions of people.

This program is intended to be fun, informative, and educational. Its core purpose is to foster a sense of "One Africa supported by African and the rest of the world" as we come together to fight against the spread of AIDS and HIV, because the scourge of AIDS and HIV is a commonly shared problem, the potential consumers for the festival are people from all over the world.

The festival will consist of two major segments (a) local, national, and international games and (b) music. On the first day, the door will be opened from 9 am until 2 pm., and will be filled with speeches, witnesses’ stories, prayers, and songs. There will also be educational programs on AIDS and HIV. For the next three days, the door will be opened from 10:30 am. Until 3:30 p.m. The musical event will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The primary proceeds of this project will be generated from individuals, organizations, private companies and government donations. Others will come from sales of concerts tickets and leases of vendor space. Most will go to children victims of AIDS and HIV through channels of major world organizations. Such could include organizations like, but are not limited to, UNICEF, the Red Cross, Gates Foundation, and World Health Organization.

It has been said that music is the universal language and that children are God’s way of saying the world should go on. What better way to participate in the fulfillment of God’s Divine Plan to use music to help those children who need it most - the innocent victims of HIV and AIDS.
The objective of this project is to use music as the medium for fostering awareness about this widespread devastation that is wreaking havoc on the children of the world, particularly those in Africa. Through the generous contributions artists, business people, and just plain folks, the participants in this unprecedented event will pool their time, talent, and resources to send a message to the world that we will not let HIV and AIDS rob us of our future or a quality life in this present. We want Africa and the universe to know we will fight this scourge with every fiber of our beings… by any means necessary! Join us in the fight! Do it for the children!

"Join us in the fight! Do it for the children!"
